After school activities are also diverse and include Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Photoshop, Swing Chorus, Robotics, Dance, Tae Kwon Do, Chess, Etiquette, Chinese, Girl Scouts, Percussion, Helen Ruffin Reading, Volunteers For Hope, Film, and Travel. Athletics for boys and girls include football, basketball, softball, tennis, and cheerleading. Commitment to Foreign Language Because we live in a diverse world, Hope Schools of Excellence is committed to providing foreign language to students. We currently offer Spanish and Mandarin Chinese. All students, beginning in K3, take courses in both languages. We have plans to add an additional language during the next school year. The Arts We are committed to enriching all aspects of our students, both academic and artistic. In as much, we have formal art classes and offer performing arts (drama, dance, percussion, etc.) as after school activities. Student Advisory Hope has established a team of teachers who are educated in student counseling to provide one on one guidance for our middle and high school students. The advisory works with students to set goals and provides the guidance for students to achieve their goals. They also work with students on college preparation and planning.
