Our goal is to produce a well rounded student. We want students who not only exceed academically, but socially, and physically, as well. Exposure is very important to us, too. We require all students to take music classes (band, orchestra, chorus, or music appreciation). All students also take a foreign language, drama, and computer classes. All students also are required to take structured physical education classes. We are truly a school without walls, as our students are constantly exposed to various cultural activities during monthly field trips.
With regards to standardized testing, HSE students on average score in the top 15% of students in the United States of America. For many of our grades, our students are in the top 5% of students in America.
