HSE considers arts education to be a fundamental and critical part of the development of the whole child. Therefore, from pre-kindergarten through 12th grades, our students are exposured to the fine arts. Excellence in the fine arts begins with our very youngest students.
At HSE, there is a variety of visual and performing arts opportunities for all students. All of our students are required to take either music appreciation, band, orchestra, or chorus. In band, our students learn to play a variety of instruments. We not only instruct them on how to play the instrument, but we also require our students to take music appreciaton classes relative to these instruments.
The HSE Jaguars also participate in the Georgia Independent School Association, GISA, literary/music competitions. Our literary/music team is coached by Mrs.Justina Jenkins. Our orchestry, band, and chorus classes are taught by Mrs. Janet Johnson.
